Hi ,
To make a long story short,
my daughter in year 4 is completely alone at school and she does not have any friends.
I contacted her teacher last week regarding this issue but no effort done from staff to include her in the games at the playground and other children says no to her.
I have honestly not done anything myself to improve her social life ,hobbies and I want to make an attempt.
She is a very kind and sweet girl perhaps alittle childish (not cool enough to other girls in her class she says).
Without giving out any personal information, just checking if there is anyone in the richmond opon thames area who can recommend any club/activity she could join to meet new people? (She is not very sporty )or if you have a child her age who would like a new friend.

Brownies can be good, doesn’t require specific skill in anything and generally quite social, though can have waiting lists.

Thanks! I will check it out. Im looking in to clubs/kids activities right now as it would be a step in the right direction

Would she like Stagecoach? The Kew one is much better than the Richmond one, and it's a really fun activity. My daughter has been going since she was seven and has made some really good friends there.

You don't say if your daughter has any additional needs but it might be worth having a look at Skylarks in Richmond:- https://www.skylarks.charity/
I've known a couple of girls who attended for years and loved it.

I would organise a tea party with a handful of nice school girls after school. Help things along.

The Orange Tree Theatre also does kids classes. My daughter attended as a teenager and liked it a lot. Plus, in checking whether they did classes for your DD's age group, I found this: https://richmondtwickenhamfamilyhub.com/autumn-term-kids-classes/ if anything might be of interest.

Also, does your child's school do any after school activities or fun clubs? Mine went to all sorts of things at lunchtime and after school, and made friends at those too. Can she join the choir or an art club at school or something? She might get to know some of her peers better.

And I agree with hosting some playdates with whoever your daughter might like best in her class.

Perform or Stage coach - both have been amazing for my daughter in a similar situation as yours. Good luck with everything, it’s so hard to see your child being lonely or left out

❤️ you sound like a lovely mum OP.

I think friends outside of school are important even for kids who don’t struggle with friends at school. So well done trying to support that!

Forgot to add the activity must be very cheap/free 😓her father does not prioritize /see the seriousness .

Schools clubs are often cheap/free. But you need to talk to her dad and get him to understand.
