It’s name if you can remember. Teacher here, church school so must be nativity. Looking for some inspiration. Had a funny one last year so looking for something magical for this year.

What year group?

I love Wriggly Nativity for little ones. I've also done Hey Ewe and Is there a baby in there, which are both sweet.

I have no experience of nativities for KS2 age.

We had one when I was little that was all about the animals present at the birth. All the kids loved that one.

The best one I’ve seen as an adult was done at our local church, and they did a “scratch nativity” - every person who wanted to take part put their name in a hat and the parts were drawn at random on the night. The narrator was the only person prepared ahead of time and they controlled the narrative. It was honestly hilarious! Mary was the portly middle aged man who runs the local offie, Herod was fittingly a very tantrummy toddler etc

I cant remember the name, it was about the midwives trying to get to the stable for the delivery.

Whoopsy daisy angel is pretty good.

We had real animals when my son was in year 1. We live in a semi rural area. We held it outside. We had a donkey, a calf and a sheep, all provided and supervised by one of the local farmers.

Why does it need to be interesting or funny? Surely the whole point of any school activities like this are to inflict maximum dread and boredom on the parents? Just grit your teeth and get through it.
Oh and make sure you have recorder playing Little Donkey very badly or it's not a proper event.

Thank you. I know the parents will live whatever we do.

My daughter's class last year (Year 2) did the traditional nativity, but it was done in the style of "Britain's Got Talent." It was very good and all of the children had a role - they got to choose whether they wanted a speaking part or a dancing part.

When I was at school in the Infants we did Carnival of the Animals.
We had the nativity scene set up at the edge of the stage (Mary, Joseph, Shepherds, Wise men, couple of angels and a doll playing Jesus). This was for the shy kids because they just had to sit there.
Then everyone else was a different animal who did their dance (maybe songs - I can't remember if there's songs) for the baby Jesus.
I was in the shy section 😁

I’d say this one too. DD did it in her last year at nursery and it was fantastic!

Not an answer to your question, but the best one I ever watched was a Sunday school nativity where Mary and Joseph ended up physically wrestling on the altar over who could hold the baby!
