How much of each item of clothing to buy?

As the title suggests just wanting to know how much of each item I should buy for my first child starting school in September?

We’ve got her two branded cardigans and the branded P.E shirt (just one). We need to buy her:

Pinafore dresses
Polo shirts

Not sure how many to have in rotation?

Thanks in advance

Oh and top tip is get a backpack to put the cardi and water bottle and whatever else in in rather than use those silly book bags.

I'd ask the school what they recommend on this one, as every cloakroom layout is different and each school has different arrangements for what belongings are needed.

My classroom has a very narrow cloakroom with pegs which are practically on top of each other, especially when it's cold and they are stuffed full with thick winter coats. Big backpacks don't fit on the pegs and small backpacks don't fit their library books in properly, or their artwork without squashing or folding it. In contrast, those 'silly' bookbags fit perfectly in each child's drawer. As long as they're emptied daily of artwork and letters so they don't get too full, a jumper folds perfectly into them too.

At our school each child has a school water bottle which stays in school, so transporting water bottles is never a problem.

As I said, every school is different so it's best to see what they advise. I would always recommend a bookbag at our school. At a school with a larger cloakroom, or one where the children don't have their own drawer, a backpack might be preferable.
