How to change suppliers to school?

My child’s school has a terrible class photo supplier and what would be the best way/who to approach the school to change who they use?

Thanks!

Why do you want to change them?
What issue do you have with them?

Basically the staff will have very little time to look at alternatives and negotiate a deal.

So do you have a good supplier in mind (that is good for the school, so gives commission, works with thier data system, has relevant safeguarding and gdpr etc)

If so I'd approach the office staff and ask them. Depending on the size of the school they might have a bursar/business manager at least part of the week who would look at this.

Bear in mind that the supplier will be free to the school as they make their money on the photos that they sell. They may also be on a multi year deal - easier for the school. School need the photos for their management information system so their requirements are going to be professionalism on the day and speed of turnaround to upload, rather than aesthetic quality. But as PP says, if you have a supplier that fits the bill no harm in letting the school business manager know.

It’s the pta rather than the school that does ours. Essentially if they’re really terrible sales will be down and the school get less of a cut so they might be more willing to change. We had one year that was objectively awful. The kids were photoshopped and looked like the living dead. I’ve never seen such bad photos.

Thanks for all your comments! I'll contact the school business manager. The photos are terrible because the faux background they used for the photos is horrendous and looks exactly that- very faux, and something out of the 80s- Technology has moved fo far on that they'd have been better off using a green screen and putting in sometihng that at least looked more natural outdoors.
They offer no digital purchase options- we don't do physical photos and so we're unable to purchase any of the photos. My childs at a new school and their previous school had a local supplier which was far far superior and certainly more ecofriendly!
