Schools in St Albans

Hi all, I am just wondering if there are any good schools in or around St Albans that aren’t teaching a lot about lgbt.
its just due to faith reasons, I don’t want my children to grow up with hatred etc towards anyone that doesn’t live agreeing to our faith or beliefs, however I also don’t want them to be taught something we don’t believe in if that makes sense?
I have had to flee due to DV so I’m trying to figure out what schools I could potentially send them to. They were previously in a private faith school.

I don't know of any primary school that makes LGBTQ a point in the curriculum. They might reference different families (eg: single mum, single dad, two mums etc) to promote inclusion and show children that not all families are the same but I can't imagine any more than that.
There are lots of Catholic primary schools if that's what you're after, St Bernadette's (state) and St Columbas (private) being two. St Columbas also does secondary and so does Nicholas Breakspeare.

Hi, ok thank you!
I don’t mind the knowing different families being set up, at the end of the day that’s just the world we live in and they will have to grow up understanding.
I think I probably am overthinking, but being Muslim it’s difficult to try and navigate. I went to a public state school b ur obviously this was years ago. Now everyone keeps scaremongering me saying that there’s lessons on it and speaking to children about how they feel and they can be whatever gender they are comfortable with etc. which I just want to avoid as they’re children, I don’t think that’s something they even need to be concerned about or even think about?

You’ve made me feel a lot better about it though, thank you! x

Sorry, I don't know why I thought you said you were Catholic! Garden Fields is a nice primary school, and has their PSHE curriculum on their website (as will other schools) so you can see what will be discussed. PSHE - Garden Fields JMI School
