Primary school in Surrey with a strong football club?

Hello. We are looking into primary prep schools in Surrey. My son will enter Year 4 from abroad. He is a dedicated football player, which is one of the reasons why we chose to relocate to the U.K. Could anyone recommend any schools within Surrey that has a strong football team, or football training grounds/facilities, or has connections with Premier League youth FC? I'm aware most schools emphasize sports in general, but each school seems to have different specialties. FYI the schools that we've contacted and confirmed availability are Parkside, Feltonfleet, Danes Hill, etc.
Thanks in advance :)

Hi OP. I'd change the name of your thread if I were you as primary schools and prep schools are different. The ones you've mentioned are preps.
What other aspects of the school are important to you? It's important to think about what you want for senior if you're choosing a prep. My older son is into football and we live near the Berks / Surrey border. Lots of prep schools around us both boys and coed and all field strong teams. A lot of the boys at my DS's school also play in local Sunday leagues (as they have school on Saturday) and a handful play for the big name clubs. I think you'd find any of the established boys' preps and any coeds with a decent proportion of boys probably have a strong boys' football provision. DM me if you like.

if you want details, look at IAPS U11 and U10 football championships and check which schools get into the final stages of these prep school football competitions.
Off the top of my head, you should look at Hoebridge School and Downsend. Another approach -since he is already going into Year 4 - would be to aim for Whitgift School at 10+, so don't stray too far from there. Your son will probably do club football anyway so any school close enough to Whitgift that feeds Whitgift would also work well.

School team will not matter much anyway. Most kids who play football seriously will start with a grassroots club and then move onto an academy if they are any good.

My kid finds school matches an inconvenience and often clash with their own training and matches.
