Hi,

I am looking for suggestions stalls for Summer Fair. Can you please throw some ideas...
Has anyone done mocktail stall, if so how was it set up and what did you offer?

I’ve seen ‘guess the weight of the headmaster’ involving a very game, male, and rather large head.

I’ve seen an unusual one: participants invited to look at themselves in a big mirror, then they were blindfolded, and had to answer three questions about their own clothes: prize if they got at least one right. This game was surprisingly tricky, but they loved it!

Another one was jail. You could send a friend to be locked up (giving a reason), or yourself: you could confess to something, or a “crime” would be chosen at random. The sentence was to sit in a big dog cage for three minutes. Bail could be bought for an extra 50p. There were lots of photos and selfies of this!

Transferring small items with chop sticks.

You can use coffee beans, lentils, dried pes, marbles if you want to make it really hard.

Have a timer and the person has 30 seconds to put X number of beans (or whatever you are using) into a jam jar using just chop sticks.

You could actually mix a couple up so it is trickier.

Something they do on masterchef is have contestants identify foods, which sounds simple but everything is cube shaped.

I have an instax camera (think polaroid instant but smaller), children love it. The film isn't cheap, about 70p per photo but you could sell them for £1. Do not underestimate pester power once one child has a pic of themselves.

You can do just plain pics or have hats and scarves, feather boa etc.

There was a netball one at my local school, and the choice was: have three shots at goal, with a prize for getting at least one in. But the alternative game was far more popular: the stallholder was a keen netball player, and the children could squirt him with a supersoaker while he tried to score goals; they got a prize if he missed a goal!
