Hi all,

Looking for some advice thoughts on the following:

We're currently living in a flat in N19 quite close to the outstanding school that has good rep and I think we stand a good chance to get into it (Yerbury). If not then there is another good one but we're on the very border of it's catchment area (Brookfield).

We love our flat but council is a freeholder and from time to time try to charge us some ridiculous amount of money for various things that we fight back successfully so far. Also my mum moved in with us and we sometime work from home, so the flat now feels quite tight for all of us.
Location is great, close to multiple parks, playgrounds, transport, etc.

We're thinking of buying a house in a nearby area, but it'll be further away in N8 and I found one good school (South Harringay) that we'll be close to. It's quite small though, so probably is oversubscribed, but we're keeping our new location within 0.1 mile from it.

I'm just not sure if moving out is a good idea. We do feel squeezed in our current place, but it's nothing terrible. And I feel like we're gambling on our daughter's education?

I'd love to hear thoughts on this or maybe personal experiences? Also, if anyone have info on the schools I mentioned please do share? Thank you!
