Is Chepstow House School diverse?

Before we apply, I would like to know if Chepstow House school has diverse mix of pupils ethnically. We are an international family so it is important if they have an environment we can fit in. Any other inputs in the school would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi there you may have made your decision as I’ve only just seen this. Yes ! It is super diverse in terms of culture / race which I think you’re asking about ? obviously not ‘diverse’ in terms of class as the school does not have scholarships - when we were there it didn’t anyway.

I had two boys both very sporty and I can heartily recommend. The teaching in music provided great foundation in their chosen instruments and the sports provision was truly terrific for a small prep. In fact seems more professionally run than my son’s current senior school provision. According to a member of staff it is one of the more creative schools. The only thing I would say is that the kids may need a bit more extra help in maths if they want a highly highly selective 11+ option. Like most prep schools there are some specialist teaches but depending on your child they might need more revision. Having said all that I felt that the provision was really good and the 11+ was handled sensitively with great skill and support All the kids who left got into great schools - some Eton, City of London, Wetherby, Brighton College etc the usual suspects. I would send my kids there all over again. Good retention of teachers which can be a tricky issue in many schools. Headmistress not a ‘hugger’ but runs a good ship! Deputy fabulous. Sports staff outstanding.

Thank you so much for the input, it is reassuring to hear! It was on top of my list in the beginning and I like it even more now that I know it is diverse. The thing is I've never got a reply from their admissions team about an availability there. Most likely they don't have one now. The good news is I found another great school, Newton Prep, quite similar to Chepstow from what I feel. Both schools look modern compared to others in London and I like it. Anyway thanks for all the details, it will help me guide through this process of choosing school 😊👍
