Anyone accepted offers at Falkner House girls this year already?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Sw5alive · 01/02/2024 19:39

I am not aware of any. It’s a waiting game.

I’m edging towards G; I like the progressive approach. So many opportunities for the girls.
Is anyone else moving towards G or KP?

Sw5alive · 05/02/2024 19:45

@88again we’ve gone G too. It’s got excellent academics too, and they appear a much more forward looking school than FH. Thanks for pointing out syllabus too, it’s much more varied.

88again · 05/02/2024 20:10

@Sw5alive - congratulations! We’ll see you there 😀

@ Anyone else edging to a G decision? Maybe a pre term playdate?!

88again · 05/02/2024 21:36

@4plusdd wondering whether you came to a final decision? I liked your idea of through schools, really helps to take the mental / emotional strain off DD, rather than putting them through more exam prep.

@4plusdd congrats on the decision! What month is your DD?

@4plusdd Congratulations! I’m sure your daughter would do well in the 11+ wherever she went with offers like those. I’ve heard great things about the schools on your list; pastoral and academics seemed to be very strong at Putney, plus they have space!; G has exceptional academics and is sporty - don’t know too much about NLCS, but it’s definitely further away than the SW ones!

RK20 · 07/02/2024 18:21

@88again we have accepted Glendower too

Sw5alive · 17/02/2024 23:28

@4plusdd I missed the posts around the excitement of the deadlines so sorry for delay.
Interested by your comment on diversity being a turn off - Looking back over the FH videos on their website and my visits to the school this year, I would say that it is probably the least diverse of the top tier K&C preps. G, KP and GHS imo (and knowing families at 2 of 3) have a much more international and diverse mix of kids and parents.

Glendower tutition fee is very competitive too. Only 32k.
