DS1 (year 4) was given some work to do at home, as he hadn't done it in class. His response to the teacher was, I'm told,

"I'll give it to my neighbour's dog."

I am
DH and I don't say things like that, in fact, I've never heard that expression before, but I also think it's increadibly funny. I'm at a loss as to what to say to him!

What was the teacher expecting you to do about it? Did she tell you because it was funny, or was she taking it seriously?

I'm not sure.. I laughed when she told me. She was obviously a bit shocked, adn had chosen to ignor his rudness.

Lynette, I've found your neighbour's dog - I'm told he's really good at homework .

Seriously, I'd have a word with your DS about doing his work and not being cheeky to teachers. You may need sellotape in order to keep a straight face though - good luck!

LOL Hallgerder! I'm still laughing every time I think about this.

Tell him the neighbour's dog will get his lunch and any school trips as he is obviously contributing so much to the school!
