KS2 - where do I find the national curriculum?

Stupid question probably. But when I look online, the national curriculum seems to date from 2013, albeit with some subject specific updates. Am I looking at the right thing? It seems a long time ago and I don’t want to read an out of date version by mistake!

DD is going into Year 3 in September and I’m keen to familiarise myself with the curriculum.

Many thanks, education experts!

National curriculum - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Last overhaul was indeed in 2013. There are a lot of links here for each subject.

Schools will teach different elements from, say, history in different orders - not all Year 3s will study the Romans, for example!

National curriculum

The national curriculum for England to be taught in all local-authority-maintained schools.

Ah ok, that’s very helpful, thank you! I’d found that link but thought I was missing something as it’s a decade on now.

There should also be curriculum maps for subjects on the school website, which might be more useful.

This is the famous Michael Gove curriculum, the some of the English is cack (fronted adverbials etc) but actually I’ve been really impressed with the standards my now year 6 child has achieved, much higher than when I was at school and I was good at everything! Some of the maths DS has done were things we didn’t cover until year 7/8.
