I have not checked her bag over the holidays so we will have to do it tomorrow - but where would we find that information out.

She also has to email a celebrity and ask them about their favourite book.

Try Bookstart, the Carnegie/Greenaway Award and the World Book Day websites. Jeremy Strong, JK Rowling, Anthony Horowitz and many other authors have their own websites - check to see if they say what inspired them to write

If it helps any, there was a feature in the Radio Times at Christmas in which Victoria Wood said that Ballet Shoes was important to her (she played Nana in it on Boxing Day, if you remember).

she's beaten me to it, but Jo Rowling of harry potter fame has talked a lot about the books that she read as a child and enjoyed. Also authors like Terry Pratchet have done similar interviews, which i'm sure can be found on the www.
