Do you give presents to MSAs too?

My child has a favourite Msa ( lunchtime supervision) in her school.
Do MSA ladies get gifts too as teachers do or no?
I wonder whether we should buy her something nice too, but don’t want to look like a loon.

I've never had one but I'm sure it would be very appreciated.

They don't usually which I think would make it extra special if you do. Please do! Maybe a little card saying how much she appreciates her x

Yes they do!

I haven't often been given actual gifts but I still treasure pictures given me by children. Please give her something, even if just a card drawn by your dd, it will mean a lot I promise.

Thanks everyone, that’s helpful. I believe MSAs should get something as they also look after the kids especially I can imagine it’s busiest time of the day.

I got a big box of chocs for the MSAs ladies and my child made a beautiful bookmark for the particular one.
I also spoke to few mums at the school gates yesterday and vaguely asked them if they ever do give card etc to their children’s MSA, they looked at me in a horror, saying they never even thought they should.
I pointed out that these MSAs do take a care of our kids during the lunch breaks, still they look like I’m making it up, one of them said, the teachers are out there too with them, so not the MSA entire job.🤔

I don't but we do give to our school receptionist which we've never done before, it's a small school and she does so much to help everyone.

We usually collect for school gifts rather than individual though everything also seems to give a separate gift too. The funds raised are split between teacher and TA eg 60% and the remaining 40% (not 100% sure of the split) handed over and added to a communal pot collected by other years and gifts are also then bought for office staff, lunch staff, premises staff, head, sports staff etc. I think it works well.
