I know North London Collegiate School (NLCS) does 7+ intake.
Queens College Prep also has 7+ and I believe they’ve become more academic as of recent.
St.Margaret’s as well does 7+ and so does St.Anthony’s school for girls.
Bute is well known for their academics and does 7+ too but they’re not really North West London.

Thanks! That’s interesting about queens college prep. Do you know what’s driving the new academic standing?

@Mumblesabout They had a new headmistress join back in 2020 that seems to have been working to improve the school overall and make it more of an academic front runner among the London prep schools.
I know they also prep girls for the 11+ even though there’s guaranteed entry into the senior school which I think has helped to gain popularity among parents.
We looked at the school a while back for our own DD and really liked it, if we had not decided to move to a different area we probably would have picked it for her.

They've moved away from their reputation as a small girls school for the less academic or those with SEN. It seems they now market themselves as a small girls school for the academic but gentle girl.
Tbh there's quite a few SEN type schools in that area so it makes sense.

What are the SEN type schools @Dodgeitornot ?

have their results also shown an improvement of late? I looked at their website and it had 11+ results combined for the last 3 year so was hard to make out a trend.

Idk, you need to check results and trends. I don't have enough skin in the game for that level of research. It was too academic for us when we looked a couple months ago.
SEN type schools are schools that cater well to kids who have additional learning needs. For eg dyslexia etc. Their needs aren't high enough for specialist school but they still benefit from small classes and specialist input that they may not receive in a state school.
Portland Place are pretty popular for that. More House in Pont Street too, although they are quite academic too.
