London preps - WUS, StP etc and SEN

We're looking to move DS to a new school at 8+. At his current school, his teacher has noticed that he has traits which suggest he is (in teacher's words), neurodiverse. We're looking to have DS assessed but it's hard to get an appointment - the earliest we've been offered in September. At the same time, for practical reasons, we need to move DS to a new school. We're looking at central London schools with entry next year (City, WUS) and West London ones (but not too far out! Latymer Juniors is do-able, StP is only in the mix because it has a school bus). DS scores v highly in tests at his current school and his teachers says he's doing really well academically. So my question is - how would you rate schools like WUS, StP, LJuniors in terms of their SEN provision, should our DS need this kind of help? Info from any parents with children at these schools particularly welcome. Thanks in advance

Are you thinking of applying for 7+ or 8+? Neither City nor Latymer Prep have 8+ entries (though WUS and StP do)

You may also try Sussex House King's College Wimbledon which have 8+ entry. WUS has SEN provision (I'm sure all the prep schools do) as you can imagine many of the boys there are "quirky" but highly functioning. I'm not sure what they do in these sessions or whether effective (I would imagine jsut a lot of chatting/advice) but if he gets into one of these top schools, he'll find more similarly-minded boys.

Thanks both. For City and Latymer we would have to see if they could offer an occasional place - maybe not! Glad to hear DS would not be alone at WUS. His current school is ok but not brilliant at working with kids who don’t fit the mould.
