ACS Hillingdon and SEN

Hi, does anyone know of how well ACS Hillingdon supports students with dyslexia?

Online it says they have 75 pupils with SEN, mostly with dyslexia or dyspraxia. They have a SEN policy that follows the SEN Code of Practice, but no pupils have EHCPs. Their Feb 2022 inspection report says, "Results from standardised measures of progress also indicate that the learning development of students with SEND generally matches or exceeds that of other pupils in the school." Good luck!

I know that part of town. The state schools are good there, or so I thought!

@MaraSyms The school is very American. The OP is probably international.
@mummy1800 I don't think many parents from ACS schools will be on Mumsnet. It really is a very international, heavily American school. Your child will most likely leave with an American accent if they don't already have one. Not that that's a problem, but that's the amount of American kids they have.

Thank you for your replies. We’ve looked round a few times and like it and I have also read their SEN policy. It’s just that our current school say ACS isn’t supportive enough for children who need additional support. Lots of the children there have English accents, btw!

@mummy1800 I hear you. My child is at an 'alternative' school and has an EHCP. You gotta do what ya gotta do! Good luck!
