i take one of my mindees(im a cm) to gym at school early every wed morning..i then have to hang around and pick up mindee2 at 8.15, mindee 3 at 8.30 then take dd into her class...

DD's teacher was there last week and said its a shame dd wasnt older and could go to gym..

Today, teacher has had a word with Head and she has agreed as dd is very sensible and 'old' for her age(ability wise), they will allow her to join mindee at this gym session

Im sure she'll be fine, might have a bit of trouble getting changed(shes only 4) but there are TA's around all the time and teacher said mrs x will help as shes there...

DD hasnt said as much bt seems a little apprehensive, she doesnt let me leave her at her old dance class, but as this is at her school i thought she would be fine?..hopefully..

So what should i expect her to be doing?, she loves dancing and excersizing etc, but im worried she isnt (obviously) able to do lots of things the older ones can and it will put her off?...what do they DO at these gym sessions?

Rosegarden- that sounds fab!
Hope your LO enjoys it.
You might be surprised at what your dd can do though - my dd started a gym class in Sept when she started reception (she is now 5), and she can now do crabs and handstands etc. They see the older ones doing it and want to have a go too lol!
They also do stuff on trampolines, junping onto the horse from a springboard, hanging and going over forwards and backwards on the bars, beam walking etc etc. My dd loves it . I just wish our school had facilities do do a gym cub - we have to go a few miles down the road...
