Do you have your own early reading books at home?

I was just wondering do parents of young primary aged children - the ones in the beginning stages of reading and not able to just pick up any story book and read it yet... do you have reading books at home for them to access?
Whether it's the biff & kipper books or songbirds books or using a service like 'reading chest' or the library.. for those times school forgets to change their reading book or they want to do more reading at the weekend or just as extra support in the school holidays.
Or do you just let the school handle it all and not do any 'extra' at home?

We had a boxset of 50 books from Usborne during Reception year - really nice books and DD still loves them now (just starting year 1). The school books became very easy for her quite quickly and two a week wouldn't have kept her entertained very long. We also have a good collection of random children's books which she started reading by herself with some help at some point in year R.

She's just gotten a new set of their books as a present for the new school year.

Yes. My so. Can't read yet, but loves being read to and likes to just sit on the floor and look at the books on his own. We have a set of Biff & Chip that he loves!
TBH, having any children's books in the home is good for them.

I used reading chest. Both kids then learnt extremely quickly. School weren’t changing books frequently enough.
