Does anyone know what the threshold was for Greater Depth? Also, any ideas on whether any of the papers were particularly difficult this year in comparison?

Where are the NCER GD stats @spanieleyes ?

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 09/07/2022 14:52

Thank you @spanieleyes he's now extra pleased with himself.

Sprig1 · 09/07/2022 15:08

Thanks everyone.

All the stats so far at national level are provisional and were published when lots of schools were still struggling to upload their writing teacher assessments.

Many schools seem to have had issues with papers going missing after dispatch.

National figures for greater depth not released yet. Think they will come out in September after remarking done (and hopefully all papers found!).

So take all with a pinch of salt for now.

KingscoteStaff · 09/07/2022 15:36

We have have one child’s Maths papers go missing…

spanieleyes · 09/07/2022 15:41

NCER are involved in the development of the actual tests and gather results from schools to create a sample set of results before the official ones come out. But schools that take part are self reporting, if your results are really bad you might not want to share them out! So the results won't be entirely accurate, but are an early guide!

spanieleyes · 09/07/2022 15:45

We get the NCER sample results on our local authority dashboard, so we get school results, county results and NCER sample results until the official national results come out in September. Our county results are always dire so we compare the school with NCER ones until the national results come out as a benchmark!

Coldilox · 09/07/2022 18:44

we haven’t been given numerical scores, just met expected standard or GDS. Any idea why a school would hold the info back?

partystress · 09/07/2022 18:56

www.gov.uk/guidance/reporting-to-parents-at-the-end-of-key-stages-1-and-2

Not sure if the above works as a link, but says schools should report a child’s scaled score to parents, as well as the standard they reached.

@spanieleyes I don’t think there are the NCER self report stats?

partystress · 09/07/2022 18:56

These* not there

spanieleyes · 09/07/2022 18:58

@partystress

Yes, only the expected stats have been officially released, the NCER sample results we get have expected and greater depth but obviously not the definitive results!

Hersetta427 · 09/07/2022 21:49

I wouldn't worry about scores not saying greater depth when they have scores of 110 or over. My daughter Scored between 114-118 in the 2018 days and her results gibes raw score and scaled score but just says achieved expected standard so don't read too much into it. She was then predicted over grade 7 for all her GCSEs and those have held up as she moves through secondary school.

KingscoteStaff · 13/07/2022 18:01

@spanieleyes I am still looking for that NCER sample that shows % of GD - can ordinary mortals see it??

spanieleyes · 13/07/2022 20:04

@KingscoteStaff
I don't think so, our local authority provides it for school leaders so I get access but I don't think it is generally available

NCER from a sample of 14, 511 schools

Reading greater depth 27.8%
Writing greater depth 12.8%
Maths greater depth 22.4%
GPS greater depth 28.2%
RWM combined GD 7.2%
