Whish would you choose?

We're currently looking to move to a bigger house so we're looking at local schools. There are 2 main areas we're considering.

Area 1
Walking distance to 2 schools. Near amenities. Between 2 secondary schools so we could hopefully pick either when the time comes. The only problem is that the houses seem to go on the market a bit less often so we'd need to start looking now.

School A
1 Form entry Catholic (DC baptised). Ofsted RI, good results and progress scores. Good opinion from parents.

School B
3 form entry. Ofsted Good, average results and progress scores, plenty of extra curricular activities. It used to be a 'bad' school in the past but turned itself around with the new head. Still has history of bullying though!

Area 2
Plenty of bigger houses available as there are fewer terraces around. Some amenities but not as good as area 1. Only one secondary school nearby so it would be possibly less choice.

School C
2 Form entry, consistently Good but with worst results of them all. They do more 'fun' things than the other two schools, with constant activities, dress up days etc.

I visited all the schools, they all seem perfectly fine. School A had a great family feel, school B tried to highlight extracurricular activities and friendship opportunities, school C has a great reputation...
Is there anything else to think of?

DC is only 3.5, quite academic but we need to move soon.

It doesn't seem like much of a choice. Area 1 has more options, better amenities and means schools are in walking distance (assuming school c isn't)

I think area 1 is a clear winner. Grin

School C would be walking distance if we move there. What sways me is better housing options but only one secondary school to pick from is a shame. Not sure if it'll be good in a few years !

Why is School A on an Ofsted Requires Improvement grade if they have good results and good progress scores? I would be having a good look at this.

School A had bad maths teaching at the last inspection but they had better teacher and results since. Most areas were still rated 'good'.

Regardless school A, would you pick A or B over C just to leave more options for secondary? School C seemed the 'best' reputation wise and well, just seemed fun and best size since it's a 2FE... but not sure it matters that much!
