Wanted suggestions for which areas to look in terms of schools.Haven't got a clue of life in London.we are in Leighton buzzard currently and I got my work permanently WFH.Dh work is travel based and he is not keen in moving to London.I have two boys, one in year1,another in year5.
Elder one is autistic, although not high functioning but not a prodigy either,a very happy and social( yes, Very much!)boy...Younger one is very academic.I can tell this with confidence as I always give my time to elder one, listening him.But younger one has learnt himself timetables, Reading chapter books,he asks me how to do division and extra challenges in maths.i feel so helpless,I do not have any time for him to dig more resources and support, while am laying foundation to elder one.so I want a very good primary school and a grammar school for younger one.But for elder one I want a good secondary school with pastoral care.He is over sensitive but very social.i just London is a place where it ticks all.

Should I be moving to London borough of Sutton or North London.
Which area ticks both, good primary school, grammar school and secondary school with very good SEN or pastoral care.

London borough of Sutton definitely has the great primary state schools used to catering for bright DC. I don't know much about SEN at secondary, but it is worth remembering that you don't have to be in catchment for the majority of the Sutton boys' places, and many boys travel each day (40 minutes daily commute was our max., but some travel up to an hour).

With that in mind, I would focus on finding the right Secondary for your eldest with a decent journey from home to the grammars (and a good non-selective as a backup). Perhaps contact the nearby councils to ask which schools fit your eldest's requirements as a starting point? Sutton/Surrey/Croydon/Merton

Also, I found this which might be helpful: www.suttonparentsforum.org.uk/

Good luck :)
