Hi OP. From Fulham you have a lot of great options. Is it for a girl or boy? Yes PGP is worth a look and you also have Thomas's Fulham, Hurlingham (if you can walk over Putney Bridge) and maybe Fulham
Prep depending on what you're looking for. There's also Kensington Prep if you have a girl. You do need to visit each one though as they're all so different.

Don’t forget St James Prep in Kensington. Coming from abroad I really liked how spacious the school is and its facilities- kiln, ICT suite, cooking studio etc. It has a new Head who came from Notting Hill Prep and Latymer before that, so it’s academic reputation, which was a bit iffy before, seems to be on the up. Good luck with the move! There are so many great schools around Fulham, I’m sure you’ll find the right one for you. Parsons Green Prep by the way, is a sweet, small school. I know lots of families who have been very happy there. Like it has been said, you need to get into each school and get a feel for them as they are all so different.

You have so many options. If you want a local prep in Fulham itself then look at:
Kensington Prep for a girl - academic, high standards but modern and very highly regarded
Fulham Prep - coed used to be known as less academic and had a rough patch but seems more on the up
Thomas's Fulham- big coed school, great reputation

I personally find Sinclair House's tiny building and location a turn off and Parsons Green a little too small- by year 6 the classes are tiny as not many stay

If you are happy to travel a little more (but still around 30- 45 mins allowing for bad traffic or a walk, just out of Fulham):
Hurlingham - just over Putney Bridge, coed, medium size, balanced school
Falkner House boys and girls - Earl's Court, very traditional and strong results
Redcliffe- coed, in a townhouse small feel, linked up with Godphin and Latymer now which will massively improve its popularity
Glendower- girls, south Ken area, v strong reputation
Bute House- for girls, hammersmith, amazing reputation, academic
Ravenscourt Prep- coed, very well run, just past Hammersmith
St James'- known as less academic but as PP said new management is changing it, have heard behaviour there isn't great

Fulham prep is a wonderful school, highly recommend it

Parsons Green Prep was very oversubscribed for Reception 2022, 60 applications for 20 places. I assume it was because of Mr Faulkner, who was their Headmaster since 2019. He used to work in Sussex House and a reputable school in Oxford. He left Parsons Green this year so I expect Reception 2023.
Also just curios to know if Parsons Green is actually the strongest in chess in Fulham?

Not meaning to put a downer but do want to help OP. 60 for 20 places isn't that big for London. Most children will have applied to 4 preps at least and from living in the area I know PGP is rarely first choice.

Parsons Green I'd great if you want small classes (especially in the later years) and a one form entry prep. I would consider it for a child with lots of needs or who is incredibly shy and needs something small and very gentle for pre- prep years. It isn't known for academics as it's nature means it has a mixed, small intake. It also loses so many children in the later years who are ready for more push or something bigger. It also has significant staff turnover and can't seem to keep a head for more than a couple of years. The concept of the school and location should make it much more popular and I don't know why it isn't to be honest.
