Alternative to Numbots

School asks kids in year 1 to practice their maths on the Numbots app regularly, DS likes it, it's just that in order to progress a level you have to complete the sums at a quick enough speed. He knows the answers, he just isn't fast enough so he's stuck repeating the same thing constantly (we are seperately investigating possible issues with him having a slow processing speed). Could anyone recommend an app he could practice on instead that I can suggest to his teacher we could use as an alternative at home (very happy to pay for it). Thanks very much

My daughter doesn’t love timed games as it makes her anxious even if she knows the answer.

I’d say MathSplash is a good programme that isn’t timed that has level progressions for primary years. You do have to pay for it but it’s not too expensive and it covers a range of math topics.

That looks great! Thanks very much

I would and do do numbots faster myself so dc can move on, tbh it's not your dc speed it's ridiculously fast.
And i do find numbots very repetitive. (Our school have reset us too when dc could definitely have continued instead).
It is good though.
My dc both like Squeebles apps. Especially the number bonds

Squeebles is good for number bonds and telling time.

We tried numbots but DS found it boringly repetitive. We've now got DoodleMaths. It seems more varied, both in terms of covering the whole maths curriculum for a year rather than just mental arithmetic, and also in terms of the range of question types it uses. It also focuses more on getting the questions right. The blurb suggests how long they take does apparently influence how quickly they move on through the material, but that's on the background - DS doesn't register how long he's taken.

I've heard good things about mathletics but haven't tried it.

Doodle maths is pretty good. It's the one our school uses.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions, really appreciated

We didn't get on with Numbots either - DD's hands were just too small to answer fast enough on the ipad so she got to a point where she just got stuck and got bored and fed up with it.
