Does anyone have current experience of these Sussex/Kent prep schools they would be willing to share?

Looking at all your many posts on various chats sussexinvader, you seem to only ever post damaging comments about one thing and that’s Vinehall. Are you a local competitor with an account set up just for this purpose, but then in past comments you claim to be a parent? It is sad indeed @sussexinvader that some people mis-use Mumsnet to spread misinformation and blatant slander. As a loyal and happy parent at Vinehall, we are nothing but delighted to hear of this partnership with Repton. I have reported your sussexinvader account to Mumsnet and alerted Vinehall of your activity.

I have nothing useful to add, but this thread has taken me down memory lane as I went to Claremont from 1981 to 1991! If they still have the scholarship boards up my name is on one of them!

@MintyWalters Do they still do a 'home-produced' musical every year? I have so many fond memories of those and can still sing at least a dozen of the songs! And do they still play 'manhunt' in the woods at the end of term? That was so much fun!

Really? A rival school hacked your email to post negative comments on here about Vinehall? Seems quite far fetched...Confused

Waving to @ThePurpleGirl - I was at Claremont 88-90 & probably still have cassettes of the musicals at my parents I reckon!
Just the best time with the odd few things that probably would go down well with Ofsted etc now.....

Yes, I thought the same @Ariadnebaby ! Obviously a dodge account which has been caught out as now the messages are all deleted. I’ve heard a lot of amazing things about Vinehall recently, the head is turning the whole thing around. So I went to their Open Week and it was really buzzing, seems to be a kind and wonderful place, the children were delightful.

Hi @Drywhitefruitycidergin 😃
Yes absolutely, Ofsted would have had a field day! I remember children being made to stand in the corner with the bin on their head, having the wooden board rubber thrown at them, and once I was given a handful of what I thought were maltesers by Mr B for doing well in my Greek, only to throw several in my mouth and discover they were actually chocoloate liquers 😂.
So were you there for Olive, Island and Xjabe? And Faith, Hope, Charity and Creamcakes and the Song for Telethon? Or was that '91?

If your child is either struggling or super academic st Ronan's is not the one. Despite being very tatler they are actually very middle of the road and just , well, meh!

Not my expectations of St R's. Fabulous school. Presumably you are/were a parent there

Experience- not expectations
