Primary schools not on a main road in Crouch End/Muswell Hill

I've recently started exploring primary school options in both Crouch End and Muswell Hill as areas to move to (currently live abroad) but worrying a little bit about air pollution after seeing some recent data.

Wondering if those who live in these neighbourhoods know which of the best schools are off main roads.

Coleridge and MHP both look great but see they are on busy main roads. Coldfall seems like it's in a less interesting area but from what I can see online, looks like it's on a quiet residential road surrounded by greenery - so image it's much better for air quality.

Is air quality something of concern for parents sending kids to school in these areas?

Would love to get more thoughts.

Thanks!

Yes, Coldfall is away from a main road as is Tetherdown. They are quite close to the main bit of Muswell Hill (The Broadway). The other side of Muswell Hill has Rhodes Avenue which is by a less busy main road and is so set back behind some trees.
Crouch End is close to the Islington border and there is a school, Ashmout Primary which is away from the main road beside the Parkland Walk. I can't think of any others as I don't live in either MH or CE.
Unfortunately, a lot of schools in London are near main roads Sad

Oh and yes air quality is a concern amongst parents and schools (not all). However, I don't think it stops people wanting their kids to go to certain schools.
Councils have introduced school streets which stops people driving down those roads at drop off and pick up times; they aren't in place on main roads and it doesn't help during the day. Some schools have raised funds to plant trees, install green walls with plants to absorb pollution.

Coldfall Primary School is not on the main road and is attached to the coldfall woods. So kids also have regular forst school. They also have the biggest outdoor space amongst all the local schools.

Campsbourne School is lovely and not on a main road.

Probably parents most concerned about pollution and their kids health don't live in London. It's hard to avoid.

@vcrees6 Yes, that would make sense. I'm in the process of figuring out if the joys of living in London cancel out the concerns about air pollution :)

@PreetiJha the most sought after school in Crouch End, is Coleridge. Parents lie, and cheat to get into it, and hope they don't get caught out, or dobbed in by their friends.
The most popular in Muswell Hill is Tetherdown. Our Lady of Muswell is quite good, and is on a side road. Rhodes Ave isn't really in Muswell Hill, it's more Ally Pally/Bounds Green/north Wood Green. Both Coleridge and Tetherdown are solidly middle class.
There is a free school, sorry forgotten it's name, on the former site of Ashmount on Hornsey Lane. It's run by a group that own some independent preps, and the children wear a school uniform. Ashmount School is now on Parkland Walk, so not on a main road. It has a more diverse intake.

Whitehall Park is the school on Hornsey Lane. I think it's a rather OTT uniform for a primary!

Tetherdown

Hi,

A post from 2021 got my attention saying that parents would do anything to get their children in Ashmount Primary school? Last results are not great so just wondering what this school has to attract the parents
