...have made my daughter alot happier!
Her maths teacher, for giving her the confidence she needed to be happy doing the level of work we know she is capable of.
Her class teacher for putting her in a group with friends (rather than people who pick on her spelling problems) but giving her work more suited to her ability.

You know who you are and if you come across this i just wanted to thank you, as it means alot.

Have you just won an Oscar?

Seriously though, thank them in person, perhaps with a card and a home baked bun

V nice for your DD

I think they may think i am peculiar (and after starting this thread i am sure they will think i am peculiar ) to do that. Besides - was hoping to discuss the reason behind being so pleased about it! Will have to wait until tomorrow i think though as i am off to bed soon.

Oh you must tell them. They probably never get this sort of feedback. I once reduced the class teacher to tears at parent teacher night by telling her that the word in the playground was that Miss S "was born to teach". (I am hoping they were happy tears!!) Do it! It will make their day.

Definitely tell them. I sent a thankyou card to ds reception teacher when he left and it was passed around the staff room Apparently even the head was near tears

The reason i am not saying anything yet is because i have been asking for both my dds to be assessed (for dyslexia, and then hopefully get statement) since they started juniours. I left it until then to ask because i was told by the infant school that they would have to wait until age 7.
Basically they still haven't been assessed, and i have had to tell every teacher every year (now in year 6) to calm down on telling them off about spellings, as both dds really struggle with that aspect of literacy. They also have problems with times tables and the 'language of maths'.
I want to wait and see how it goes for a bit!
