speeding up arithmetic/mental maths KS2

I would be grateful for some advice from year 6s teachers. My son is going into year 6 in September. I have done a lot of work with him over the lockdown and the past few weeks. His basic understanding of maths concepts is reasonable and he is able to complete White Rose work at the expected level. However, the speed with which he works at is incredibly slow. I have persisted with learning tables and he knows them but his recall is not instantaneous and he becomes quite anxious when pressurized. What would be an effective way to help him. I am a teacher/ parent but have mainly worked with younger children. I have not used Mathletics but wonder if this might help him speed things up. He responds quite well to online programmes in which he can chart his progress and where there are badges/ rewards etc. Is there a maths equivalent that is anyway similar to Bedrock?
If you have any ideas I would be grateful.

For times tables TTRockstars would improve his speed and recall and is very popular with most of the KS2 pupils.

I really like mathletics. We used squeebles for TT initially and then progressed to TT rock stars once we were bored of squeebles. You can get schofield and sims mental maths books from wh Smith, start with number 3 to build confidence
