If you are a tutor, any advice on how and where to start to become one (I’m a qualified teacher with over 12 years teaching experience). Other than criminal records check do you have insurance? Do you have children in your home and if so from a child protection POV do parents stay too? What’s your hourly rate? Do you tend to teach the topics or go through and practice questions? Do you enjoy it? Any tips?

If you have a tutor what sort of things do you look for in a tutor? What sort of price do you pay? What do you want from a tutor? Do you want to have them come to you, you go to them or online lessons?

I would really look into zoom tutoring. It saves a lot of time for parents, my child has an 11 plus maths tutor and I can do some housework or something else rather than travel drop off, wait, travel back .. all while ignoring my younger child.

We are keeping zoom sessions. We won't do face to face.

We found a brilliant catch up course only because of covid because that 11 plus tutor did not live nearby.

You could look at some online platforms to get an idea as to how you can make online tuition interesting .

That’s a great plan, I’d much rather do it I live tbh!
