Does such a thing exist!

I'm trying to help dd with times tables thinking tons of websites would have fee games etc and I can't find any.

Twinkle had been a let 👇 for me.

TT rockstars is fantastic and although it is not free I believe it is a very minimal charge for a year. I'd really recommend it as both a teacher and parent.

LyndaLaHughes · 01/05/2020 00:53

It's appears to be about £7 for a year.

www.topmarks.co.uk/times-tables/coconut-multiples

Dd's teacher recently recommended it.

Hit the button

It’s free

ChangeMeAlready · 01/05/2020 01:36

BBC Bitesize. It's free.

MrsLJ2014 · 02/05/2020 08:53

Hit the button on Top Marks is good as is Mental Maths Train, also on Top Marks.

mondaywine · 02/05/2020 08:57

Top Marks is super for tables. It’s worth remembering that Twinkl is a teacher subscription resource site. While there are super resources on there it’s designed to help cut time producing resources rather than interactive games at for home. Sumdog is good too but I’m not sure what an individual subscription would cost.

Moon maths was a good Online game back in the day-does that still exist?

ByTheStarryNight · 02/05/2020 09:01

Squeebles. Has apps for tables, spellings etc

Mullikins · 02/05/2020 09:03

My dd loves the fishing times tables game on (I think) Mathsframe.

Anotherthink · 02/05/2020 09:07

Tt rockstars. There's an app so you can put it on phones tablets etc without rubbish loading websites. They win coins which they can then 'spend' on customising their rockstar.

1066vegan · 02/05/2020 09:09

Hit the button is free and you can choose to practise specific tables or to play with a mixture.

Times Table Rockstars isn't free but has the advantage that it reacts to how a child is scoring and tailors the questions to their needs. Lots of useful stats for feedback.

GloriaMaximus · 02/05/2020 09:12

TT Rockstars as mentioned and Mathletics

Gobbolinocat · 03/05/2020 09:33

Rock stars sounds like something she would enjoy. Thank you, some excellent ideas.
Good point re twinkle. I did infact find the something reasonable to down load from it in the end but interactive rock star sounds good.

We use the BBC Bitesize games for DD (6) and also have posters in her bedroom with tthe times tables on. She seems to learn faster when she can find a pattern in numbers so having something like a times table square on her wall means she can look for the patterns.

She has this one: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0081HMH4G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&ie=UTF8
