Just looking into using it fit maths and English and seems quite reasonable in price.

Has anyone got any feedback?

Thanks

my daughter gets school homework on it. I hate it. They have to get to 100 and will get something like 1 point for a correct answer and minus 8 for a wrong one, so it's really demoralising, and the questions aren't always 100% clear.

We have had it at home (maths and English) for 18 months or so (DD is in Y4). We don't get much info from the school from week to week about what they're working on or how they're doing, and DD doesn't get much homework, so I just tend to ask her what she has been working on in class, and she picks a couple of sessions relating to that topic.

On a couple of occasions DD has experienced what waterbottle has described, where if she gets one wrong she has to do a lot more questions to complete the task. However, normally, as we pick things that she has already covered in class, she rarely gets one wrong so gets through the tasks in just a few minutes. If she does get one wrong, the explanation on IXL has been helpful, so she's quickly back on the right track.

We don't use it a great deal - maybe DD does 2-3 exercises per week. DD does sometimes say it's a bit boring, but it only takes a few minutes, and I feel it gives me confidence that DD has understood a topic.
