Hi. We’ll be applying for a reception place in January, to start in September 2020. We plan to move to the ladder but are unlikely to have it done by mid-January, so will be using current address. We live a few miles further north.
So we need to be sensible in our choices. Maybe two schools with usually small catchment areas (just in case we get lucky) and the rest schools where we have a good chance of getting in from a few miles away.
I’ve spoken to the Haringey education team who tell me that there were quite a few schools this year where everyone got in, regardless of where they applied from. They include various religious schools (not our preference), and others including Noel Park and Lordship Lane.
Any suggestions for schools to visit or consider? Our daughter is confident, chatty and happy. She likes learning and is pretty resilient.
The only other thing is that we’ll only be in the uk for three years (possibly two). So our focus is on the early years.
Any advice gratefully received. Thanks!
