Being notified about chicken pox

Does your child’s primary school notify parents of the class if there has been an incidence of chicken pox? Our school sends out general messages about threadworms and nits, but not, it would seem, chickenpox.

My child’s nursery always did this, as a general warning for parents who might be pregnant or have siblings.

I’m not sure what the norm is about sharing this kind of info in primary schools and interested to hear what other schools do.

Ours doesn't. It was going round a couple of months ago. Parents posted on the class Facebook page, but we didn't hear anything from the school

The problem with chicken pox is that it's infectious before there are any spots

We knew about chicken pox at our school because parents were posting about it in class Facebook pages, but we never had any message from the school about it.
