DS1 is starting school in september (surely there has been a mistake??) and so the great wide uniform hunt is on. I want cheap but lasting a normal amount of time, pref adjustable waisted trousers, plain polo shirts (i already have the branded stuff form the school)

Come all you hardened parents of school children, you must know some places by now!

Also, have had it on recommendation that simplystuck is good for name tags so went ahead and ordered their starter pack. ANything i should know know about labels before i have to start sewing and sticking?

Smug of smugsville here. I've done it all, with the exception of shoes. DD starts secondary in September and I've got all the school crested stuff that she needed and enough shirts and skirts to be going on with. School outfitters have run out of stock, I hear!
Re: labels. Get a laudry pen!!!! You will get so board of sewing. Takes 2 seconds with a pen and it won't fade in the wash, because your lo will have worn the knees away on his trousers before that!
