Please can you help me find some charcoal grey school trousers that will fit a tall skinny boy of 8-9?

M&S trousers are too light grey for his taste (apparently the dark grey ones are much cooler). I did inherit several pairs from a friend, but are all too big in the waist and too short in the leg.

Please save me from the hell that is the West End and tell me where I should be looking?

I thank you.

Next ones have ones with adjustable waist that fit even my extremely skinny 10 yr old. They do a dark grey and do the combatty ones if allowed. Sainsburys ones also fit him, they are fairly short in length and my ds is only average height.

Splendid, Next I can probably manage. Maybe I can even find them mail order.

Next school trousers are good, esp jeans style ones. If you have an account (or a friend with one) this code (F9206) will give you free delivery if you order before July 19th!

The Adams ones have an adjustable waist and they do slim cut as well, which might help.

My slim DS seems to be OK in Asda's George ones - and they are dark grey.

Frogs - The M&S trousers seem to be skinnier this year. Last year the adjustable ones on thinnest setting were too big for ds2, but this year they're OK.

We bought Adams last year for ds2, as they did an extra long leg adjustable trouser in his age, which fitted. But the quality was very disappointing: they wore very badly.

M&S or Next much better IMO.
