Does anybody have experience with these 2 schools? I would love to hear from Anyone who joined either of them after 7 plus?

Have friends with kids in both...
It’s like any school - nothing is perfect. But mostly people are happy.

You can’t go wrong with either.
I’d look at location and transportation. At some point, your boy will be going to school on his own - from about 11-12...

I do like the St.P facilities a bit more. Nice to have fields and open space like that around.

Thank you so much. Did you observe any differences in teaching or parents?

If you were comparing a struggling school in a depressed area to a top school in a rich area - then there would be.

As these are two top schools in a similar area - the answer is - not really.
It’s all people who can afford the fees - so ambitious and valuing education.

Location may make a little difference - as St.P will have more people coming from a little outside of the central central London.

But otherwise - people make way too much of the perceived differences between these schools, while in reality - it’s the schools where bright boys are taught to high standard. Simple.

Go and visit again. Decide what’s best for your family with logistics, etc.
If all else fails - flip a coin. It’s really that sort of a choice.

Proximity would be a key factor in deciding. Just made our decision, not that either are close; equally distant. Think where your individual child would fit in best. That's what we did.
Teaching at WUS (from my recent visit) was stellar: engaged boys, involved, every one of them had a wealth of knowledge to share ( and this was just Year 3!!) There appeared to be a bit more individual involvement w each boys progress on both macro and micro level at WUS (from what headmaster showed to me). SPJS is obv much larger, more boys, hence perhaps more ??? Parental involvement required... not absolutely sure from what I've seen.. perhaps someone else can shed more light....however, both brilliant schools. Good luck deciding. You won't go wrong either way.

My ds joined SPJ this year having sat the 8+. Most of the kids come from Notting Hill/Chelsea/Belgravia etc, a few locals, a few from outer London. Facilities are excellent, the boys do a lot of sport as well as clubs etc. My ds loves that the sports facilities and pool are on site. There isn't much homework, the bulk of the work is done at school so minimal parental involvement. Very good communication between parent/teachers, you can email them and they respond quickly. They have a good grasp of the boys and my ds absolutely loves it. He says the lessons are really interesting. We live locally so it was an easy choice to make. I can't imagine there is a huge difference other than facilities, so I would chose the most accessible school.
