Hi can any one give me some feed back

my son is very strong willed and bright he is only 4 but his class mates seem to be able to write basic words while my son refuses and tells me he can but just does not want to any advice

You said it, he is only four. My son struggles with writing and he is five and half years old. He is being refered to occupationaly theraphy and has an IEP.

Let him do activites he does enjoy, maybe lego, playdough, cooking, climbing that build strength.

No one would consider not being able to control a pencil a developmental issue until the child is almost 6 years old unless there are other reasons.

my son has a history of problems with gross motor skills which is why our paediatrian has chosen to refer him.

Ditto what frances5 said. Best thing you can do is fine and gross motor development - eg - things using fingers and things using arms. Doing pegs, spray bottles filled with water to water the plants, kinex, and lots of climbing, hanging, pulling up, tug of war, ball games are all good.

Thanks for getting back yo me i really dont like putting presure on its just my son school (Just started reception 2 months ago )(talk about stress) Sent home what they consider averge development and what they expect him to know it was quite some list i hate it when they compare all children the same after all we are not in the victorian ages.
