Wondering if anyone can give healthy lunch box ideas for 7 year old. Always had school meals but changing to packed lunches.

Also have to provide snacks for break times as free fruit and veg not provided anything particular I should be sending in?

What will he eat?
We found most DC didn't really have fruit at break once the free stuff stopped so I'd just send him with whatever and see if he actually eats it.

Likewise healthy packed lunches, we found at juniors there was less time to eat and they just wanted to go out and play, so if they ate more than half a sandwich it was a bonus.

(Sorry I realise I haven't really answered your question, just didn't want you to spend ages coming up with ideas to find they were not needed).

wraps with different fillings
potato salad/pasta salad and little meatballs
any other salad
(grilled) sandwiches
pizza rolls
muffins with cheese/meat/veggies
spinach lasagne (my kids love it cold, too)
overnight oats
cibatta sandwich with falafel
scrambled eggs

You can google 'bento box lunch' for lots of great ideas.

My kids always eat everything. But they have to sit down for lunch for at least 15 minutes. That may helpWink

Go and look at bunches of lunches on YouTube. Lots of ideas

My mum used to give me a Kit Kat for morning break, chicken/lamb/beef/egg sandwiches for lunch with an apple or banana and a small Cadbury’s Dairy Milk. Other kids tried with increasing desperation to trade with me. No problems with teachers. But this was 50 years ago.

At primary school Ds had a bagel/brioche burger roll/sandwich with a filling, yoghurt, pot of strawberries, pot of grapes, small biscuit item and a flavoured water. For snack he took an apple or banana (I bought a plastic banana guard to stop it getting bruised)
Now at secondary he has a brioche finger roll at break. Has the same lunch minus the yoghurt.
