Hi.

The first post on here so forgive me if I have put this in the wrong place. My daughter is a very outgoing and full of life girl. She is about to begin primary 4. She has several friends in school. She keeps asking if she can have sleepovers, meet up with friends etc.

So my questions is how do other people go about getting in touch with the freiends parents to arrange play dates, sleepovers etc.

She attends afterschool, so we don't have any opportunity to chat to other Mums & Dads at the school gate, and about 90% of the children have left after school by the time we get there.

We thought if we gave her a bunch of cards with our numbers on it? Just looking for any advice and ideas.

Thanks.

Basically I gave some cards out buy only about 50% responded. I found the best way was to invite them to a party so got loads of numbers now and basically just hsbg
around furtively and targeting people!

Notes in book bags. Specific notes like ' would Charlie like to come and play at Rebecca's on Saturday 12-3?' and your number. They text to say y/ n, and if they sound like they want to come, you change the date / time if necessary. Although throwing a whole class birthday party in the early days pays dividends.

Don't have a kid to sleep over if you haven't had them for tea / a play / met for outings. Unless you like the excitement of not knowing how things will go.
