Key stage 2 maths apps-any recs?

I've downloaded a few but the apps seem to get stuck or won't let me login.

Just after something where there's a mix of addition, subtraction, multiplication & division. Ds really needs to speed up-going into P5 in Sep (year 4) & want to help him progress a little more as he gets quite down if he doesn't do well.

Any advice appreciated!

mathsframe is very good.
You need to join and pay small fee(£10 for a year) for full access, but free stuff is good too.

BBC bitesize....free resources on all key stages.

Times Table Rockstars - will get your DS really proficient with his times tables. You can set the ones he is to practise or you can leave it at all of them.

Hit The Button is free online but you pay a small amount for the app, and that's really good for practising everything. Personally, I prefer it as it's less stressy for my DS, who is dyslexic.

Many thanks-will look into these. TT rockstars is one that I've downloaded but it wants me to login & I don't have any login details, so annoying!

You need to purchase a subscription it's £6.00

Norestformrz · 03/08/2018 17:57

That's for a family for a year

My DS likes Prodigy, in fact his whole class is crazy for it

user789653241 · 03/08/2018 19:32

Yes, I second prodigy too. It's not like regular maths games, more of the fun catching /duelling monster and doing quest, while you answer the maths quiz along the way.

buckeejit · 03/08/2018 20:45

Thanks norest - a subscription as well as the app? That's a bit cheeky. Have done it now-not normal but great reviews so fingers crossed it helps!

Will check out the prodigy too-cheers!

I've not used it so can't personally recommend

Hit the button has all that free. Against the clock so encourages you to speed up and beat your personal best. Good to do in small bursts every day.

user789653241 · 04/08/2018 07:28

June, hit the button is free on the website, but I think you need to pay for apps.

buckeejit · 06/08/2018 09:55

I feel very stupid with TT rockstars-managed to pay for it, download the app & get ds logged on but there is no option to select certain levels that I can see, it's really frustrating! There's just lots of multiplication & division and all he knows is some times tables, no division yet. Can anyone help?

My boy's school has sent him home with a doodlemaths login for the summer. We use it on my iPad daily and he's loving it so far :)

The questions are challenging him aren't too difficult so he's enthusiastic to pick up the tablet and get it done.

I think there's a free trial so you don't need to pay if your son doesn't like it.
