Ive just been on the Ofsted site and the school i want my DS to go to says 5-11,

but surely the nursery intake is younger than that?

He will be 3 in December.

Do I need to apply soon?

I just tried ringing the school ... then realised they're not answering because its a bank holiday!

reception classes don't take the term after the 4th birthday or mine would have been in the year above they are now asa they are September babies.
In our school there is a September intake for children who are 5 between September and March. The April to August children start in January. Other schools have just one intake for children who will be 5 between September and the next August.

In Herts where I live we automatically get a letter to apply for a nursery place in autumn and find out around March.
Would have thought Kittylette son would start nursery the September before he is 4.
Although all LEA's are different

My 2 went ot a private preschool from the age of 3 and got funding for the term after they were 4.
