Hi I am new to MN and wondered if any of you could help me. I am trying to develop my sons fine motor skills and I am getting him to sew using binka, can anyone tell me which size has the biggest holes. I have looked on ebay and google but still haven't got a clue, Thank you

The numbers quoted as sizes are the numbers of holes per inch... so smaller number = bigger size.

Don't know about binka, but my ds did a lot of sawing when he was around 4/5 years old. He just used normal felt and normal sewing needle.

What about the plastic mesh canvas - might be easier and clearer for him to see where the holes are than binka? As someone mentioned - with aida at least the higher number = smaller "squares" and I assume it works the same way with binka.

If you use felt what I found worked well was putting pen marks where each needle hole was meant to be - just improved the chaos of getting landed with 30 glove puppet make D+T projects no end doing PPA cover!
