Fab news!!!

Little sweetie! Shame there isn't a "glowing with pride" emoticon!

Twiglett · 03/05/2007 12:59

thank you

I was glowing rather .. and sorry for the boast .. but do you understand why? Its just that he's trying and working not that it necessarily comes naturally to him (although he is averagely bright) .. its such a good thing to hear about a 6 year old

need to hug him

quite ok to boast I would if my DS's teacher said that about him too

Twiglett · 03/05/2007 17:31

sneaks on to say 'star of the day' today

he's had a new teacher for 2 weeks now .. has never been star of the day before .. which is kind of sad this late in the year (especially as they have 2 a day)

that is the best thing they can say - that is great.

I read somewhere that the children who do best academically are the ones who are praised with 'I'm proud of you because of how hard you worked' rather than 'I'm proud of you because you are so clever'. I really try to do this with my children and show them how much I value the stuff that takes effort.
Well done to your DS.
