Just spent £54 on ds' school uniform for P1 and that's not anywhere near all of it!!!

Got him 2 school sweatshirts
2 school poloshirts
1 PE tshirt
1 Fleece
and 1 tie

Thank goodness my mum offered to buy his uniform - we've not even started on shoes,trousers,jogging bottoms, PE shorts, gym shoes, school bag, lunch box, name tapes blah blah blah.

As the school only has 26 pupils there aren't that many uniform sales!

This is going to add up into the hundreds! We're on quite a tight budget as it is, but I'm sure there must be folks struggling to manage all this!

Aimsmum, there is a Matalan clearance place in Renfrew (check their website for address and phone no.), they had green and white checked dresses for £1 or £1.25

Has anyone seen purple checked dresses? I'd like to stock up for next year ifyou can buy them cheap?

I had to get it today as the next lot of ordering will be in November! Friday was the deadline and I won't be passing the school again until next week - ah the joys of living in the sticks.

Tbh even if I'd realised that logos weren't compulsory I'd still have got them cos the lovely school secretary was saying things like 'Well I suppose you could just get a plain one but Mrs Headteacher really does like them to have XYZ'

I'm too scared to cross the head and look like a troublesome parent even before the first day. Ds is already on her radar so I need to be perfect PTA material to make up for it!
