A letter through school tells us my Yr1 DD has been successful in a national writing competition. Her writing is not good so seems odd. Any thoughts?

My son's school found this, didn't know about it and were going to send them off - I told them all about it and they just ran an internal competition instead.

Zombie thread but this seems to come up every year. They now have a new line - 'Young Poets' Competition'. Same old stuff, virtually every child entered gets selected then there is an 'exclusive' opportunity to buy the book.

Both mine ‘won’ years ago. Put the letter straight in the bin. It means nothing except a ploy to get you to spend £££
