In that case I think you just have to keep your fingers crossed. I know it's hard but there's nothing more you can do, apart from fax the form as soon as it comes, it's all out of your hands now

By teh way, did the school tell you that you will need copy of dd's birth cert. We also need to provide proof of address by providing child benefit book / letter - but don't suppose you'll have that yet.

i explained to her that we havent moved there yet - she is sending the stuff to my current address, and didnt seem to think it ws going to be a problem

Don't panic - remember people move away as well. DS2 was 5th on waiting list the April before he started school, and by Sept, 6 people had moved house and he got in, so even if they had no spaces now you'd still have a chance.

Is there any chance of writing to them sort of formally applying for a place

so it is like the application form and so you are applying

SO if you write giving details of:

date of birth

address

full name

etc.

It may work as an application before the form arrives iyswim

Ooh, I'm dying to know what school it is! Have you given the private ones a miss then? I bet you'll be alright, registration happens in December and they don't tell people until April so you'll still get priority over out-of-catchment placing requests I'd have thought.
