H width feet and party shoes

This isn't really an education question but i wasn't sure where else to ask it.

My 4 year old has high insteps and wide feet so needs H width shoes. It's party season coming up with at least 3 party invitations already for when she goes back to school.

Any suggestions for places where I might be able to get some sparkly party shoes like her big sister always has? She really can't squeeze her feet into the high street shop standard shoes no matter how much she wants to!

My daughter has broad feet as well. I got her some Pablowsky shoes this morning and they worked well. If you Google them I think you can buy online.

My five year old has high instep and G width and gets on well with the Lelli Kelly canvas decorated shoes... But you may not like them!!

Thanks for the suggestions - I shall get Googling! :)

My 11yo DD has had the same problem all her life. What helped was a great fitter at an independent shop who pointed out that she actually had short toes - so if her toes had been more in proportion the length of her feet would be half to one size bigger. This has made me feel much more comfortable about going up a size for certain shoes. I sometimes have to convince Clarks to risk going up a size.

But I feel your pain. Party shoes were always really, really tricky. Superfit brand have always fitted DD - but not great on the party/sparkly line.

Have had a look at the suggestions above but I can't find anything completely partyish in a size 10. I just want a plain sparkly shoe. I guess I feel worse because I always had wide feet and never got a single pair of proper party shoes that all the other little girls seemed to have, so I'm sympathetic but also possibly projecting a little!!! She really does want some sparkly shoes though. Earlier she said 'Mummy, I don't need a Christmas present from Santa but I really need some shoes like the other girls have at the parties' and no matter how much i know it's not my fault i really want to give her a good pair of shoes so she doesn't feel like that!

Have you tried h&m?
I had written off the high St completely because of Dd1's fat feet until the year they had the elsa shoes when I found to my amazement that a) they fitted b) there were other things she could wear from there too (sandals but not the hard soled ones)
They are very basic flat Sparkly pumps with elastic but cheap and cheerful for occasional wear

How about the sparkly trainers they have at Next? They will be adjustable I presume.

I can't do clicky links but have a look.
I think they're really cute and much cooler than traditional party shoes (but I'm not a 4 year old girl, so she may disagree!) You can get sparkly converse too but more expensive.

Are there some white pimsols or shoes that fit? Some superglue and stick on jewels from The Works or Claire's or an art shop. Fabric pens. And customise the shoes.

I bought silver sparkly pumps from marks. Worked really well for me dd who's 7 yo. Shes a size 2.5h but we got a size 3 and fits very well.

You have my sympathy both my boys have very wide feet and had high insteps when they were little (DS1 has grown out of this now and just has huge feet)
DS2 measured wider than H so has had to go up half a size to fit in any shoes, but we have found a 3.5H fits fine even though he measures as a 3I (which they don't make) so perhaps try half a size up in a g which would give you more options

When I was a teenager I made sparkly red glitter shoes by painting pva on a pair of red ballet pumps then covering in glitter! I'm sure you can buy spray glitter these days? Maybe a diy job? I sympathise as I have wide feet and my 14 month old also has H width feet!

FluffyAnimalsRule · 08/09/2017 16:05

Oooooh - i like the idea of spray glitter Smile I found some in the sale in John Lewis that she claims aren't too tight so i bought her those. I'm not convinced they fit her though so i may see what i can get in a 10.5H as suggested above. Thanks for all the ideas/tips

My dd has H width too. When she was little we found that Shoe Zone did some sparkly shoes that fit her well - the only place we could find sparkly shoes that fit her. Okay, the quality wasn't the best but for a handful of parties they were absolutely fine. This was going back a few years mind so they might not be the same anymore but worth a try if you have one local to you.
