PE trainers

My DS is starting y5. He always used plimsoles for PE but he has asked me to buy him trainers this year. They must be plain black or white without colourful logos and I would like to spend as little as possible as he does I guess one or two hours per week....

Any suggestions?

We've done M & S and sainsburys for PE trainers and both have been fine,
I have the problem that they stop sainsburys boys shoes at 5 and he is a 6 but the adult ones don't start so am hoping to see some suggestions here too.

Sports direct can have very good sales.

If you don't like the employment practices of Sports Direct, try Decathlon. Of Asda

Check Primark, too.

We had to have plain black too and there was plenty of choice in decathlon.

Go for any supermarket, we've had both sainburys and Tesco. Matalan do them to, DD has had trainers since year 1 as they do outside PE and I don't want to spend a lot on them either.

We have this rule.
Tesco came up trumps. DS has had these for the last 2 years (a pair a year).

Oh thanks. It is a nightmare

Shoe Zone works for us (or Deichmann or similar cheap shoe shop where you can see what is on the shelves). Ones for ds were about a tenner.
