Would you tell a school about derogatory comments on Facebook

I belong to a Facebook group for local mums. It's private but easy to join. A woman posted recently asking for feedback on the school DC goes to.

Another mum posted a long rambling message saying her son was bullied there and detailing some physical abuse he apparently received from other kids (he's now left). English doesn't appear to be her first language and I don't think she comes across as credible. But should I tell the school about these comments?

Other relevant info being that I think her DS was in my DC's class, and my DC couldn't stand her son, which makes me doubt her story even more.

If she's now left the school should she still be a member of the group?
On another note, your kids disliking hers doesn't indicate there wasn't bullying going on though does it?

Hi, it's a group for mums living locally.

No, it doesn't, but thought I should include it so people could follow my thinking.

Maybe you post your own kind of rebuttal? e.g. 'that isn't my experience at all. I think xyz'

Hmm, I'd already posted before her saying that we like the school, so have effectively said that.

I am going to bet that the school will find out ours always does when something kicks off on FB.

I'd keep out of posting on the thread and maybe mention it if I had a good relationship with the head / teacher.

It can get very unpleasant we've even had a PCSO get involved!

Yes. I usually correct the person spouting off and then tell the school.
