hello

I know there is already a thread on private primaries in reigate - we have just moved there and are looking at both state and primary so was wondering if anyone could give me the lowdown on state primaries?

Reigate priory sounds very good but as they start at 7 what are the options for before? (my ds is 3). Someone has recommended Holmesdale? Friends children go to Royal Alexander and rate it highly but again this is 7+.

Why do some schools start at 4/5 and some at 7?

I am new to this schools lark and am finding it quite confusing how to get a feel for where to apply so any help for Reigate/Redhill would be very welcome.

Earlswood is very nera to Reigate and has St. John's Primary and Earlswood Primary, both of which have very good Ofsted reports...

Hi JDD

Reigate has an Infant/ Junior/ Senior system

Holmesdale and the Parish are both highly regarded infant schools (4-7 years)
Most children from these schools then move onto the Priory junior school, which is excellent too.

Wray Common is a primary from 4 -11. Has had mixed reviews/ problems in recent years. Not quite sure where it is right now.

Don't know if you are church-going, but there are also some very good Catholic schools.

Welcome to Reigate
